Support the Team by joining our Supporters’ Club

By joining the Supporters’ Club, you become part of the extended team – and the Team certainly appreciates the support and commitment of every supporter – we couldn’t do what we do without you.  Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team is reliant on the many supporters who give their valuable time and money to keep the Team equipped, trained and ready to save lives in and around Patterdale.

In order to help us to plan our spending and to help you to spread your costs you can set up a standing order by completing and posting this standing order form to us – this also allows you to make a Gift Aid declaration if you are eligible.

Alternatively you can securely purchase membership from our shop.

  • Individual:- 1 year – £12;   5 year – £50
  • Family:-   1 year – £25;    5 year – £100
  • Lifetime:- £500

If you prefer to pay by cheque or BACS please contact the treasurer at  treasurer@patterdalemrt.org.uk for further details.

Keeping in touch

Members of our Supporters’ Club receive a copy of our Annual Review each Spring (which includes summaries of all the rescues during the previous year) plus our supporters’ newsletter, Patrick Relay, twice a year.  You can choose whether to receive these by post or by email.

Supporters are also encouraged to visit the base in Patterdale on Open Days.

The Team certainly appreciates the support and commitment of every supporter – we couldn’t do what we do without you.

Hands on help

If you would like to get even more involved, especially if you live in the area or spend a large part of your spare time here, we have a small group of dedicated hands-on helpers who are heavily involved with the team.  This group not only organises fund-raising events at our Rescue Base and in the Ullswater valley but also takes some of the administrative load off active team members who have many calls on their time. In addition they arrange educational visits to our base for local school groups or groups visiting one of the many activity centres in the area. You can download our schools education pack here.  We are always looking for more volunteers to help spread this load over a wider group, so if you would like to learn more about this please contact the secretary of Patterdale Mountain Rescue Association at trustee.secretary@patterdalemrt.org.uk or by post at our address below.
