    Ankle Injury on Nethermost Pike.: Nethermost Pike 19th July

    The Team were requested to assist a woman who had injured her ankle on the ridge path between Nethermost Pike and Dollywaggon Pike. After assessment and splinting the woman was stretchered down towards Dunmail Raise. Once below the cloud level the Air Ambulance was able to meet the stretcher party and evacuate the casualty to hospital in Carlisle.

    Walkers crag fast on Helvellyn headwall.: Red Tarn 18th July

    Cumbria Police requested Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team to aid 2 walkers from Leeds who had become misplaced and on very steep ground.

    Walker trips, injuring her head: Grisedale 4th July

    Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called by the police to assist a 52yr old woman from Carlisle, who had tripped while out for a walk in Grisedale.

    Woman falls 30 metres from footpath: Glenridding 1st July

    Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called today, Friday 1st July, to the assistance of a woman who had fallen down a rock outcrop close to the village of Glenridding.
  • Team News: Team receives nearly £200 from Giveacar scheme 15th July

    Thanks to Andrew in Great Shelford, Cambs and Richard in Halifax. They’ve both scrapped their cars via giveacar.co.uk and we’ve received £98 for each one - plus their cars have been recycled at a green facility - is this a win-win-win?

  • Team News: TV stardom (almost) for Ally and Steve 20th July

    Team member, Ally Howard-Carter and Trustee, Steve Howe, have represented the Team in recent weeks on filming TV programmes that have very little to do with mountain rescue! The Steamer Pier area by Ullswater seems to have become a favourite with TV crews for outside broadcasts and Ally definitely got the better deal with sunshine and helpings of sticky toffee pudding.
