Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team News and Incidents for June 10
A woman slipped close to High Force near Aira Force, Ullswater and damaged her Arm.
PMRT were tasked by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to search for an 18 year old man from Lancashire who was reported to be in difficulties after his kayak capsized close to Pooley Bridge.
Investigation: Striding Edge 14th JuneThe Team were called by Cumbria Police to investigate a group who were reported by a member of the public to be in difficulty on Striding Edge Helvellyn. On investigating the group from Manchester were found and in good shape.

It’ll be full steam ahead on Thursday 20 June as the Ullswater ‘Steamer’ company has kindly donated a fundraising midsummer’s evening cruise.
Staff and visitors at Park Foot Caravan and Camping Park raised £700 for Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team over the Jubilee holiday. A special Family Fun Day included a duck race, a fun dog show, various stalls, a display by Silverband Falconry and a Tug of War that stretched the length of the site – at least 50-a-side.
The Ullswater ‘Steamer’ company has kindly donated one of its boats and crew to Patterdale Mountain Rescue Association for a midsummer evening cruise on Thursday 24 June.
