: Sandwick Bay 29th September
Request by police to launch the boat and investigate a report from a passing walker who has seen a sinking yacht. Search was made of the area and nothing was found save a hatch cover. police divers located the sunken craft in the following days. -
Croglin Lady Stretchered from The Knott: The Knott 28th September
A female walking with her dog sustained a fractured ankle. She was treated on the hill and brought down by stretcher. Penrith MR Team assisted with the evacuation. -
Young person flown from fells above Hartsop: The Knott 18th September
An Outdoor Activity student on an organised fell walk collapsed and was reported to be unconscious. Treated at the scene and stretchered down to just above Hayeswater and transferred to the Air Ambulance. -
: Above Seldom Seen Glencoyne 15th September
60 yr old lady who slipped and damaged her leg. Treated at the scene and stretchered to the track. -
: St Sunday Crag 14th September
Report of dog barking. Feared that dog was with an injured walker. Nothing found thought to be a local missing hunt hound. -
: Gowbarrow, Yew Crag 14th September
Report from passing yachtsman who had seen persons waving a red garment as though in distress on the crag. Investigated and found that the people were unhappy on steep ground but had been helped by some nearby rock climbers to re-gain the path. -
: Gillside 6th September
Ambulance assist to a male who had sustained a head injury. Taken to hospital by county ambulance. -
: Grisedale 4th September
55 yr old visitor from Australia fell and fractured his arm on descent into Grisedale. Treated by team and doctor at the Rescue Centre. Hospitalised.

Team News: Prince William joins Lakeland rescuers in Helvellyn ascent 14th September
Patterdale MRT hosted a fantastic day in the valley on Friday 24 July. HRH Prince William is Patron of Mountain Rescue England and Wales and he combined a visit to our Base with climbing Helvellyn to meet Centrepoint youngsters and a steamer trip on Ullswater with families from the WellChild charity.
