Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team News and Incidents for July 07

: Threshwaite Cove 18th July
A man slipped on wet path and fractured his ankle. Patterdale and Penrith Teams attended and treated him on fell. He was carried by stretcher to air ambulance. -
: Angle Tarn 10th July
Man collapsed at Angle Tarn with a heart attack. The team responded and requested air ambulance attendance. Helimed 58 were called and took casualty to Carlisle CIC. Team brought family off fell.

Team News: Team receives nearly £200 from Giveacar scheme 15th July
Thanks to Andrew in Great Shelford, Cambs and Richard in Halifax. They’ve both scrapped their cars via giveacar.co.uk and we’ve received £98 for each one - plus their cars have been recycled at a green facility - is this a win-win-win?

Team News: TV stardom (almost) for Ally and Steve 20th July
Team member, Ally Howard-Carter and Trustee, Steve Howe, have represented the Team in recent weeks on filming TV programmes that have very little to do with mountain rescue! The Steamer Pier area by Ullswater seems to have become a favourite with TV crews for outside broadcasts and Ally definitely got the better deal with sunshine and helpings of sticky toffee pudding.

Team News: Birthday gift contributes over £650 10th July
To celebrate her 70th birthday, friends and family of Jennifer Heaton of Yanwath near Penrith have contributed towards a donation of over £650 to Patterdale MRT.
