Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team News and Incidents for May 07

: Hole in the wall, Helvellyn 15^th May

Young man triped and injured his ankle on summit of Helvellyn. He managed, with help, to get down to Red Tarn . Team located him and stretchered off the fell to Greenside. He was taken to hospital by his mother on route home.
: Silver Point Ullswater 14^th May

Woman tripped and fractured her ankle. She was treated at scene and transported by team boat to the Outward Bound jetty and transferred to county ambulance for onward transport to Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle.
: Red Tarn Helvellyn 4^th May

Fell runner injured ankle on Swirral edge. He managed to get down to Red Tarn. Team treated him at the scene and a RAF helicopter that was returning from another rescue flew casualty to CIC.
: Grisedale 3^rd May

Woman tripped on path and fractured her ankle. She was treated at scene. The team imobolised her fracture and stretchered her from the fell. She was taken by her husband to hospital.

Team News: Ullswater Association supports the Team 5^th May

Members of the Ullswater Association, a network of local tourism businesses, have raised over £500 with a raffle and presented Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) with a cheque for £250 last night (Wednesday 5 May). Mark Hook of the Moss Crag Guesthouse in Glenridding is Treasurerof the Association and he presented the cheque to John Williams, recently appointed Chairman of the Patterdale MR Association.
