1 RESCUE	02/01/08	13.35	Swirral Edge, Helvellyn	A 17yr old male from Whitley Bay slipped and broke his leg just below the knee. He was treated by the team and flown by RAF Helicopter to hospital.
2 RESCUE FATAL	09/01/08	14.50	Brown Cove	A 62 yr old man from Bolton fell from the ridge into Brown Cove. He sustained multiple injuries from which he died.
3 RESCUE FATAL	12/01/08	13.43	Helvellyn	A 41 year old man from Newcastle pointy Slipped below the snow cornice and fell towards Red Tarn. Members of the Wasdale Team and a doctor from the Penrith Team were close by and also attended. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
4 FIRST AID	12/01/08	17.15	Nethermost Gully, Nethermost Pike	Two experienced climbers fell from the snow gully they were climbing. The protection failed and one climber dislodged the the second climber. They self evacuated and met at the Rescue Centre where Head and leg injuries were treated.
5 RESCUE	03/02/08	12.35	Kidsty Pike	A 22yr old male from Penrith became unable to move in high winds and called police for help. The man was located at the grid reference that he had provided. Teams from Patterdale, Penrith and RAF Leeming, who were on exercise in the area assisted. The man was assessed by a Mountain Rescue doctor and safely walked off the hill to Hartsop.
6 ANIMAL RESCUE	11/02/08	13.00	Blowick Bay	Steamer Company reported a crag fast sheep that had been stuck on a crag. The Team recovered the sheep to safe ground
7 RESCUE	22/02/08	14.35	Deepdale	A 55yr old female slipped and fractured her ankle. Her leg was vacuum splinted by the team and evacuated by stretched her from the fell. Penrith MRT also assisted. The woman was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
8 RESCUE	22/02/08	15.40	St Sunday Crag	A man got into difficulties on St Sunday Crag due to gale force winds, he phoned his wife who alerted Mountain Rescue. The man was located by the team and led to safety. Penrith MRT also assisted.
9 RESCUE	18/03/08	14.15	Swirral Edge, Helvellyn	Persons reported having difficulty descending Swirral Edge on Helvellyn. Members sent to check all was well. The group were found safely descending towards Red Tarn. All ok.
10 RESCUE	19/03/08	17.35	Hart Crag, Dovedale	A 14yr old girl had tripped and sustained a fracture to her leg. Treated on the fell by the Team and Airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle by a helicopter from RAF Boulmer.
11 RESCUE	21/03/08	13.00	Patterdale	The Team found a canoeist who had collapsed. The 20yr old male was on an instructor training session with an outdoor organisation. He was treated for hypothermia and flown to hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance.
12 SEARCH FATAL	25/03/08	20.49	Red Screes	A 67 yr old male was reported overdue by his wife. Car located at Kirkstone Inn. After Searching Red Screes and other areas the man body was located by the Langdale Ambleside Team.
13 RESCUE	26/03/08	13.05	Helvellyn	Father and 10yr old son fell in snowy conditions 200m from Helvellyn. Rest of party crag fast at site of slip. Two casualties stretchered of to below the cloud base to a waiting RAF Sea King Helicopter for onward transport to hospital. The remaining party of three, an adult and two young children were roped off to safety. Footwear was unsuitable for winter conditions. Penrith MRT also assisted.
14 RESCUE	13/04/08	12.40	Holin Hause Gill	A 39 yr old man slipped in a gully and fractured his ankle. He was treated and evacuated by the Team and then onward to hospital.
15 WATER RESCUE	19/04/08	13.00	Ullswater	Disabled motor boat drifting on to rocks.Team boat requested to attend by Liverpool Coast Guard. Boat which had rope tangled around its propeller was towed by another boat to safe mooring.
16 RESCUE FATAL	19/04/08	16.04	Grisedale, Ruthwaite Lodge	61yr old male collapsed whilst descending. Helped by passing doctor who performed resuscitation until the team arrived.
17 SEARCH	26/04/08	15.25	Hart Crag	A call to assist Langdale Ambleside in locating a male who was crag fast. After a prolonged search involving 4 mountain rescue teams and 2 SARDA dogs, he was located on very steep ground below Hart Crag. He was very cold and very stuck. He was evacuated up to better ground and then escorted off.
18 RESCUE	27/04/08	16.21	Mires Beck, Glenridding	Woman aged 60, tripped and fractured her ankle. She was treated at scene and stretchered to a Land Rover ambulance and transferred the Rescue Centre for onward transport to Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle.
19 RESCUE	01/05/08	16.21	Place Fell Patterdale	71yr old female slipped on rough broken ground. She fractured her ankle, was treated at the site, stretchered off the hill and transferred to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
20 RESCUE FATAL	05/05/08	12.46	Striding Edge Helvellyn	A male fell from Striding Edge into Nethermost Cove. RAF Helicopter recovered his body to Cumberland Infirmary.
21 RESCUE	17/05/09	18.41	Boredale Hause Path	Woman slipped on the path and fracured her ankle. She was treated at the scene, stretchered to the valley bottom and transfered to Hospital.
22 RESCUE	21/05/08	16.00	Silver Point Ullswater	Female slipped and fell 8ft over rocks causing a head injury. Recovered by team rescue boat to Jenkin field, Glenridding and air lifted to hospital by air ambulance.
23 RESCUE	24/05/08	13.05	Caiston Glen	70 yr old man slipped and sutained ligament injuries to his left knee. Stretchered from the fell and transfered to hospital by Land Ambulance.
24 RESCUE	25/05/08	12.44	Dovedale	A 29 yr old female from Hudderfield who was walking with her family fell and fractured her ankle. The woman leg was splinted and she was stretchered to the road side for onward evacuation to hospital.
25 RESCUE	26/05/08	14.00	Flossgate, Ullswater	Request to launch the rescue boat from Police and Coast Guard for an upturned boat with people in the water. Boat was launched and later stood down as another boat had recovered the people in the lake.
26 RESCUE	26/05/08	14.50	Long Crag, Ullswater	Second request of the day to launch the boat to a 74 yr old woman from Kent who had slipped and disclocted her shoulder. The shoulder was reduced by a Penrith Team doctor. The casualty was brought back to Glenridding for progress by land ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlise for observation.
27 RESCUE	26/05/08	14.55	Ruthwaite Lodge, Grisedale	A female slipped and fractured her wrist and also had a frature/dislocation of her ankle. The woman was stretchered to a waiting Landrover Ambulance which brought her to the Rescue Centre where she was given further treatment before transfer to Hospital.
28 SEARCH	28/05/08	14.56	The Knott	A family reported seeing a red flare in the mountains around the Knott area. Search proved fruitless with nothing found.
29 SEARCH	28/05/08	20.05	Hartsop Above How	Assistance given to Langdale Ambleside Team to search for a group of two people from Chester le Street. They were located in thick mist by the team at Hartsop above How and escorted down to Patterdale.
30 RESCUE	17/06/08	12.05	Striding Edge, Helvellyn	A female fractured her wrist. The woman from Chesire was treated on the hill and flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
31 RESCUE	30/05.08	13.03	Striding Edge, Helvellyn	While the last rescue was in progress another walker slipped from Striding Edge into East Gulley. She had head and spinal injuries and a fractured wrist. The woman was flown to to hospital by an RAF Seaking Helicopter. The aircraft returned to fly the less serious injury of incident 30. Penrth Mountain Rescue Team assited with this job.
32 RESCUE	04/06/08	15.11	Silver point	A 70 yr old man from Portsmouth tripped and hit his head whilst walking. He was treated at the scene and transported back to Patterdale by the Team Rescue boat and then onwards by land ambulance to hospital.
33 RESCUE	17/06/08	11.09	Mires Beck	Male suffered an epileptic fit whilst walking with friends. Treated and stretchered off the fell. Helimed 58 (Air Ambulance) was also tasked but was unable to evacuate due to the condition of the casualty.
34 RESCUE	08/06/08	14.10	Striding Edge	Man Fell on Striding Edge Helvellyn and dislocated his shoulder. The dislocation was reduced at the scene and he was airlifted to Hospital
35 RESCUE	24/06/08	15.35	Yew Crag	A man who was fishing on the Lake shore slipped and fractured his femur. The man was loaded onto a Mountain Rescue stretcher. The road was closed and he was hoisted over an 8 ft retaining wall and transported to a waiting Air Ambulance.
36 RESCUE	27/06/08	15.00	Broad Crag, Scandale Pass area	A 26 yr old female from Manchester slipped and fell on her arm. Suspected fracture of head of humerus. Treated by a Team doctor and stretchered down to the road for onward transport to hospital.
37 RESCUE	27/06/08	15.10	Below Brothers Parting Stone Grisedale	Collapsed Tent reported to us by police. On investigation it was found to be abandoned and the tent was recovered.
38 RESCUE	28/06/08	23.45	Ruthwaite Lodge Grisedale	An 18 yr old female student who was staying at a mountain hut had taken a fall earlier in the day and injured her left knee. Instructor decided that evacuation was needed and called police. Team stretchered the girl down to the valley bottom. Members of the penrith MRT assisted
39 RESCUE	29/06/08	12.30	Gowbarrow, Yew Crag	A 50 yr old male fell whilst leading a rock climb. Protection failed or unplaced. Sustained head and hip injuries. Treated at the scene by team doctors and paramedics and stretchered down to the road and transported to waiting air ambulance.
40 search	06/07/08	17.13	Gowbarrow Path from Gowbarrow summit to Dockray	14 yr old girl became separated from her mother during a walk. The girl was quickly located and reunited.
