Woman concerned for safety of the owner of a rucksack apparently abandoned in Ruthwaite Cove. Search did not reveal any sign of the rucksack or owner. |

Man became separated form his companion whilst climbing Pinnacle Ridge on St. Sunday Crag. The man was suffering from ME and was located in Grisedale, exhausted and cold. |

A Man slipped on ice causing a fracture dislocation of his ankle. The man was treated on the fell and stretchered down to Greenside and transferred to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. The Buxton team were training in the area and assisted with the rescue. |

Two persons became frightened in white out snow storm on summit of Helvellyn. Team were making progress towards them when the weather cleared. The persons telephoned police to say they no longer required assistance. |

22 ft boat capsized on Ullswater in a squall. Adult and two children trapped. Team Boat with Howtown Outdoor Centre Boat. Brought Casualties to Land. With Howtown boat the team RIB towed the tri-hulled boat to shore. |

Two males from Cockermouth climbed Swirral Edge in snowy conditions. Companion was found to be missing on summit. Saw footprints going over edge onto steep face of Helvellyn. Man had walked over edge and later called family to say that he was unhurt and made his own way off. |

A 45 yr. old male fell from Swirral Edge Helvellyn some 150ft towards Red Tarn. Head, back and leg injuries. Flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlilse. Members of RAF Leeming MRT who were on exercise in the area also accepted. |

North Pennines Merton Fell area |
Assisted
Kirkby Stephen and Penrith Teams in search for local resident who had
not returned from a walk in the Merton Fell area of the North Pennines. An RAF helicopter, with heat seeking equipment, also conducted an extensive search. Missing person not located so Teams stood down. An RAF Seaking helicopter, search dogs, Mountain Rescue Teams from RAF Leeming, Kendal, Keswick, Kirkby Stephen, Moffat, Patterdale and Teesdale and the local Police cooperated in the search of an extended area. The missing person was not located and all civilian teams were stood downtime Patterdale search dogs with other SARDA members also searched the previous night. |

Edge |
A 4 man and his wife from Hinkley, Leistershire became cragfast in winter conditions on Swirral Edge and were unable to continue. They dialled 999 for assistance. A team member was quickly with them and helped them to safe ground. Some Team members also stood by with technical equipment should it be required. |

Helvellyn |
A call was received from the police for a male from Liverpool who had become cragfast high on the cliffs above Red Tarn. An RAF helicopter was called from refueling at Carlisle. The difficult weather conditions on scene made it too dangerous to winch the man from the ledge so team members descended by rope from the summit of Helvellyn and lowered him to safe ground. |

Dove Crag Area |
A 15yr old Explorer Scout became mildly hypothermic on a practice Duke of Edinburgh expedition. The group followed their safety training and erected a tent and summoned help. The female was flown back to the Patterdale Rescue Centre and the rest of the group were escorted down. The Great North Air Ambulance assisted with transport. |

A call from police to launch the rescue RIB for 2 persons in Ullswater Lake and a capsized boat. Ullswater Outward Bound, The Howtown Outdoor Centre, Ullswater Yacht ClubThe Coast Guard, Air Ambulance, RAF Seaking Helicopter, Police and a land Ambulance all attended. The persons were brought ashore by a private boat from Waterfoot. |

A 12 yr old boy had become separated from his family. The family searched for an hour before calling the emergency services. The boy was located as the search was being initiated. The boy suffered minor face injuries from a tumble. |

Called to assist Langdale Ambleside MRT for search for solo male walker from Sunderland who was reported to be walking the Fairfield Horse Shoe walk. All Night search revealed no trace. The search was continued the following day with assistance from Penrith MRT, Kirby Stephen MRT, RAF Leeming MRT, Search and Rescue dogs, and a Helicopter from RAF Valley. No trace found. Other Teams were conducting searches in other areas. |

Multiple Injuries, Airlifted to Newcastle General Hospital. 2 Air ambulances were deployed and a helicopter from RAF Boulmer. The initial report was also of a second casualty Team members were flown to Striding Edge and no second casualty found. |

A search was conducted on the water. Two bodies were located by two sports divers and marked. A third body was located by police divers who recovered all 3 bodies. A Team search dog was used in the initial search. A multi agency effort by Police Ambulance Coast Guard and Mountain Rescue. |

The air ambulance which was assisting was unable to fly due to deteriorating conditions having landed on. The crew spent the night in the aircraft which was able to take off in the morning when the weather improved. Penrith MRT assisted and the man was stretchered off the hill to Greenside. |
