Beda Fell |
A male and female walker reported via 999 that they were lost in mist on a walk which the female had walked before. They carried no map compass torch or whistle. During the search the mist lifted and they were able to safely descend. |

08.01.05 15.00 | Carlisle | During the major flooding of Carlisle the team's 17ft rigid inflatable boat was transported to the flood area with a crew of 3.The boat made many trips in the Warwick Road area of the City to rescue stranded house holders and pets, often wading in chest height water to do checks on the safety of residents. Food was also distributed. A doctor from the Penrith Team was aboard the boat for medical response. Another of the team's Land rover Ambulances also ferried diesel from the Dalston depot for the fire service. |

2 male walker/runners reported overdue Angle Tarn Pike area. The location was later found to be Angle Tarn Langdale and not Patterdale. They had become delayed as they were assisting another fell walker with a fractured ankle. |

Link Hause Dove Crag |
A 57 yr old female from Ramsbottom Lancashire, was blown off her feet at Link Hause. She sustained a fractured ankle. A helicopter from RN Gannet tried twice to get to the scene but was forced back due to the severe blizzard conditions. The Patterdale and Langdale Ambleside Teams reached the casualty, who was with her husband, and stretchered her down to Patterdale.The rescue took 8 hours. |

Patterdale | A 90 yr old male required transport by Land rover Ambulance to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Centre for transfer to County Ambulance. The County Ambulance was unable to reach the house. |

Communicated by text as mobile battery was low. Keswick and Patterdale Teams searched all night and they were found at dawn by a helicopter from RAF Boulmer. |

A 56 year old woman slipped on the descent path from Grisedale Tarn and fractured her Tibia and Fibular. Due to the severity of the injury she was air lifted by a helicopter from RAF Leconfield to West Cumbria Hospital. The Penrith Team also assisted in the rescue. |

Hart Crag | A 16 yr old male from North Lincolnshire strained a muscle while walking with a group of youths on an outdoor course. he was treated at the scene and stretchered from the fell into Deepdale. The Penrith Mountain Rescue Team also assisted with the evacuation. |

Striding Edge | A dog had fallen from the Edge about 100 metres. The owner had descended over steep ground and was with the dog on arrival of the team. The man was roped down to Red Tarn and the dog was carried off the fell to the Greenside road. After a night in the vet hospital and surgery to its jaw and teeth the dog recovered. |

They called for help by phone saying that they were close to the Lake but due to the batteries going flat they were unable to safely move in the dark. Ullswater Lakeshore Path | A 14 yr old boy fell over the handle bars of his mountain bike. The lad had back pain. A lake user put the boy on his motor boat and took him to the other side of the Lake. A serach ensued as the boat user had not informed any one of his actions. The landing point the boy had been taken to was located and the team imobilised with a full body vacuum splint. Transfered to County ambulance for hospital. |

Party split on Pinnacle Ridge. A concerned member of the group reported the fact to police. Man was located by the team at Patterdale and the party were reunited. |
