02 Rescue	11.01.02 19.54	Falcon Crag Grisedale	A 25 year old male from Bury was rescued from the face of Falcon Crag. His map had disintegrated in the bad weather and he became disorientated and crag fast. He had a GPS
03 Rescue	10.02.02 15.23	Whiteside	A 26 year old female was blown off her feet in gale force winds sustaining a fractured right ankle. She was stretchered from the fell in atrocious weather.
04 Animal Rescue	14.02.02 15.30	Dove Crag	Search for missing and cragfast hound. Nothing found.
05 Search	22.02.02 13.40	Helvellyn	3 Walkers became separated in adverse weather conditions. All three located in different locations and reunited at the rescue centre
06 Rescue	23.03.02 13.25	Striding Edge Helvellyn	A 29 year old female visitor from Germany slipped from Striding Edge and fell 200ft towards Red Tarn sustaining two fractured shoulders one fractured wrist, two fractured ankles and a fractured pelvis a head injury and multiple lacerations. She was airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary.
07 Rescue	23.03.02 16.10	Ruthwaite Lodge Grisedale	A Duke of Edinburgh Award trainee sustained a damaged ligament and was unable to walk. She was stretchered from the fell and transported to Penrith New Hospital.
08 Animal Rescue	27.03.02 13.30	Striding Edge Helvellyn	A Labrador dog had fallen 200ft towards Red Tarn. The dog was unable to walk and was stretchered from the fell and taken to vets.
09 Rescue	15.04.02 17.35	Ullswater Lake Path	A 60yr old female slipped on the lake path and sustained a fractured shoulder.
10 Rescue	21.05.02 12.25	Ullswater Lake Path South of Howtown	County Ambulance control requested assistance to evacuate a female who had slipped and fractured her Tibia and Fibula. The woman was stretchered off the fell by the team to the lake shore and then by boat (courtesy of Howtown Outdoor Centre) to a waiting ambulance at Howtown.
11 Rescue FATAL	25.05.02 11.35	Glenridding Beck Glenridding	A request for attendance of the team to a boy who was in difficulties in Glenridding Beck. On arrival the body of a 10yr old boy was found. The boy's mother who had been in the water and was hypothermic was hoisted up to the bank on a stretcher. Another boy who had also been in the water was also assisted to the bank. They were both evacuated by Air Ambulance to Barrow Hospital.
12 Rescue	6.06.02 16.10	Moorside Birkhouse Moor	A 34 yr. old male from Manchester who had been walking with two companions suffered aching leg muscles through repetitive strain injury. He was stretchered off the hill to the Landrover Ambulance waiting at the road head. After treatment by the Team Doctor he was allowed to continue in the care of his friends.
13 Rescue	15.06.02 13.55	Great Meldrum	23 year old female from Tyne and Wear dislocated her knee while crossing a fence. The knee was treated and put back into place by two of the team doctors. The woman was stretchered to a nearby farm house.
14 Search	28.06.02 11.30	Coast to Coast	A 61 year old male who had left Home Farm Patterdale to continue on the C to C towards Shap, failed to call his wife having been delayed arriving at his accommodation.
15 Rescue	30.06.02 16.00	Red Tarn Beck	A 35 year old army instructor fell from his mountain bike and aggravated a previous leg injury. He was stretchered to a Team Landrover Ambulance that was with the team in the same valley.
16 Rescue	02.07.02 18.00	St Sunday Crag	A call to assist a 63 yr. old man from Galashiels who has sustained a knee injury. He was able to walk off to the Rescue Centre at Patterdale
17 Investigation	07.07.02 21.00	Glenridding	Request from police and concerned local residents to investigate red distress flares seen over the southern end of Ullswater. Found to be a flares set off on shore as firework celebration.
18 Rescue	12.07.02 15.45	Stybarrow Dodd	A mountain biker from Bridlington aged 34 fell from his bike and sustained a fractured collar bone. He was stretchered to the valley and transferred to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
19 Rescue	13.07.02 22.25	Deepdale Hause	A Duke of Edinburgh Award candidate suffered an ankle injury. Due to medical condition he was airlifted with a team doctor to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
20 Rescue	17.07.02 19.00	Kepple Cove zig zags	A 43 yr. old man from Belgium, who was with an organised walking group, suffered a suspected fractured ankle. He was brought down to the rescue Centre and transferred to hospital at Careless for treatment
21 Search	28.07.02 09.45	Coast to Coast route	Search for man from Holland who was reported missing on the Coast to Coast route after failing to arrive at his overnight accommodation. The 40 year old man turned up safe and well at New Biggin on Lune, his next overnight stop. He had been unwell the day before and booked into a B&B but had been unable to inform his booked accommodation of his change of plan. The Patterdale team were assisted by rescue teams from Penrith, Kendal, Langdale Ambleside, Kirkby Stephen and the Search and the Rescue Dog Association. A total of 80 personnel.
22 First Aid	28.07.02 14.25	Patterdale	A female from Burnley slipped on the fell and sustained a bad laceration to her knee requiring 10 stitches, She was treated at the Rescue Centre and taken to Penrith Hospital and then returned to Glenridding to meet her transport.
23 Rescue	02.08.02 14.55	Glencoyne	Ambulance control requested assistance with a 23 year old female from Worcester who was fitting. She was treated on the hill and carried down to the waiting County Ambulance
24 Search	04.08.02 18.00	Park Brow	An orinteering competitor on an event at Watermillock Common was reported overdue. As the search was being initiated she arrived safe and well.
25 Rescue	06.08.02 12.05	Place Fell	Another orienteering competitor on an organised event slipped and fractured her ankle. She was treated on the fell and stretchered to the valley for onward transport to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
26 Search	07.08.02 14.56	High Pike	A mother and daughter became disorientated in low cloud and were afraid of straying onto dangerous ground near to Dove Crag. The team made contact by mobile phone and whilst ascertaining their position the cloud lifted and passing walkers pointed the route off to Ambleside. They were met by members of the Langdale Ambleside Team and returned by the Patterdale team to their campsite.
27 Rescue	07.08.02 19.10	Angle Tarn Beck	A 16 year old student from County Durham slipped and damaged her knee ligaments. She was treated on the hill by the team doctor and stretchered to the waiting Landrover Ambulance. She was then transferred to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
28 Rescue	11.08.02 13.45	Striding Edge Helvellyn	A female slipped from Striding edge and suffered head and spinal injuries. The woman was flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
29 Rescue	11.08.02 15.10	Hallin Hag Wood	Whilst the previous incident was in progress a male walker with ankle injury and diabetic was reported on the footpath between Howtown and Sandwick. The Penrith Mountain Rescue Team were requested to deal with this incident. Several Patterdale team members and a team doctor also responded.
30 Search	15.08.02 20.45	High Street	Patterdale and Penrith Mountain Rescue Teams and a Search dog assisted 7 adults who had become disorientated making their way along High Street towards Pooley Bridge. The party used the flash on a camera to indicate their position. They were guided from the fell cold but well.
31 Rescue	19.08.02 12.00	Brown Cove Crags	A Male reported with severe chest pains. Both Patterdale and Keswick teams attended. The man was airlifted to hospital
32 Search	20.08.02 14.30	Kirkstone Pass Red Screes	A 10 year old girl was reported missing. After a short search was made, information was given that the girl had been reunited with her father.
33 Rescue	22.08.02 15.30	Keldas	A male (50yrs) slipped and fractured his knee and sustained lacerations to his upper back.
34 First Aid	22.08.02	Glenridding	Request to assist with a Road Traffic Accident at Falling Rocks Glenridding.
35 Search	22.08.02 23.15	Dovedale	3 missing elderly persons reported overdue. As search was being initiated the informing person reported that they had arrived safely at their parked cars.
36 First Aid	26.08.02 13.47	Patterdale	The rescue Centre was staffed when a request was received to deal with a male who has sustained a torn ligament on the local tennis court.
37 Rescue	27.08.02 16.33	Helvellyn Swirrel Edge	A 16 year old girl slipped and received a deep cut laceration to her knee. She was stretchered off the the valley.
38 Rescue	18.09.02 14.10	Grisedale	a 65 year old female slipped on the path and suffered a lacerations to her head. She was brought down to the Rescue Centre wounds dressed and referred to hospital.
39 Search	20.09.02 19.10	Pennine Area	Team put on standby by police for possible military air crash search. Team stood down information proved to be incorrect..
40 Search	21.09.02 16.25	Striding Edge	Shouts for help heard by walkers. Area searched nothing found. Thought to be farmers gathering sheep.
41 Rescue	21.09.02 16.50	Gowbarrow	57 year old woman from Redding slipped and fractured her ankle while walking on Gowbarrow Fell.
42 Rescue	27.09.02 13.00	Kailpot Crag	Request to attend with first aid equipment. Team members attended by inflatable boat. Woman with compound fractured Tibia and Fibula. Air lifted to hospital by Air ambulance
43 Rescue	29.09.02 13.10	Satura Crag	A 49 year old male slipped on the fell and suffered a lacerated knee and hand. He was unable to walk so was stretched off the hill.
44 Rescue	29.09.02 14.15	Helvellyn Swirrel Edge	A female (38yrs) from West Yorkshire fell 70ft sustaining injuries to her spine, arm and fracturing her lower leg. She was airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. Members of the Bolton MR Team who were in the area assisted.
45 Rescue	03.10..02 15.45	Gray Crag Hartsop	A female fell walker (64) from Cockermouth slipped and fractured her ankle. She was treated on the hill and stretchered to a waiting team Landrover ambulance. Transferred to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
46 Rescue	05.10..02 15.45	Kepple Cove /Greenside	A male mountain biker fell from his bike and sustained serious head injuries. He was treated at the scene by the taem and 2 team doctors. He was airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
47 Search	09.10..02 20.00	Hagg Wood Ullswater	Lights reported found to be an outdoor Centre Group Bivi. All OK
48 Rescue	13.10..02 15.40	Glencoyne	67 year old female slipped and fractured her wrist

50 Search	17.10..02 15.05	Lanty's Tarn area	12 year old boy became separated from his family on a walk. Located and re-united with his parents
51 First Aid	19.10..02 17.40	Hole in Wall Helvellyn	Lanty's Tarn areadaughter slipped on Striding Edge sustaining lacerated head and arm injury. Penrith Member gave first aid and requested team vehicle to transport.
52 Rescue	26.10..02 16.02	Aira Force Ullswater	Female slipped on wet grassy pathand sustained a compound fracture of her leg
53 Rescue	30.10..02 16.05	Bannerdale	Female fractured her ankle she was stretchered from the fell and transfered to County Ambulance for transport to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle
54 Search	30.10..02 17.50	Angle Tarn area	Two females benighted. Located by team and escorted to safety.
55 Search	30.10..02 21.15	Helvellyn	Father and son overdue. Found at Glenridding after a short search.
56 Search	26.11..02 19.40	Fairfield	Local man walking dogs in Grisedalebecame disorientated in mist. Located after an all night search close to Fairfield summit. Cold but able to walk off the hill.Langdale Ambleside Team and Search and Rescue Dog Association also assisted.
57 Rescue	14.12.02 13.30	Helvellyn Striding Edge	41 yr old man with arthritic knee. At first unable to continue due to cold aggravating his condition. Located and escorted from the fell.
58 Rescue	28.12.02 12.39	Helvellyn Swirrel Edge	40 yr old male solo walker suffered a twisted ankle and was assited from the fell after treatment.
