Ullswater Lake shore path

82 year old female from Nottingham slipped on ice and fractured her ankle. She was treated by the team doctor and transported to the rescue centre for onward transport to the Cumberland Infirmary

A 25 year old male from Bury was rescued from the face of Falcon Crag. His map had disintegrated in the bad weather and he became disorientated and crag fast. He had a GPS

A 29 year old female visitor from Germany slipped from Striding Edge and fell 200ft towards Red Tarn sustaining two fractured shoulders one fractured wrist, two fractured ankles and a fractured pelvis a head injury and multiple lacerations. She was airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary.

A Duke of Edinburgh Award trainee sustained a damaged ligament and was unable to walk. She was stretchered from the fell and transported to Penrith New Hospital.

Ullswater Lake Path A 60yr old female slipped on the lake path and sustained a fractured shoulder.

Ullswater Lake Path South of Howtown County Ambulance control requested assistance to evacuate a female who had slipped and fractured her Tibia and Fibula. The woman was stretchered off the fell by the team to the lake shore and then by boat (courtesy of Howtown Outdoor Centre) to a waiting ambulance at Howtown.

A request for attendance of the team to a boy who was in difficulties in Glenridding Beck. On arrival the body of a 10yr old boy was found. The boy's mother who had been in the water and was hypothermic was hoisted up to the bank on a stretcher. Another boy who had also been in the water was also assisted to the bank. They were both evacuated by Air Ambulance to Barrow Hospital.

Moorside Birkhouse Moor

A 34 yr. old male from Manchester who had been walking with two companions suffered aching leg muscles through repetitive strain injury. He was stretchered off the hill to the Landrover Ambulance waiting at the road head. After treatment by the Team Doctor he was allowed to continue in the care of his friends.

Great Meldrum 23 year old female from Tyne and Wear dislocated her knee while crossing a fence. The knee was treated and put back into place by two of the team doctors. The woman was stretchered to a nearby farm house.

Kepple Cove zig zags A 43 yr. old man from Belgium, who was with an organised walking group, suffered a suspected fractured ankle. He was brought down to the rescue Centre and transferred to hospital at Careless for treatment

Coast to Coast route Search for man from Holland who was reported missing on the Coast to Coast route after failing to arrive at his overnight accommodation. The 40 year old man turned up safe and well at New Biggin on Lune, his next overnight stop. He had been unwell the day before and booked into a B&B but had been unable to inform his booked accommodation of his change of plan. The Patterdale team were assisted by rescue teams from Penrith, Kendal, Langdale Ambleside, Kirkby Stephen and the Search and the Rescue Dog Association. A total of 80 personnel.

Patterdale A female from Burnley slipped on the fell and sustained a bad laceration to her knee requiring 10 stitches, She was treated at the Rescue Centre and taken to Penrith Hospital and then returned to Glenridding to meet her transport.

Place Fell Another orienteering competitor on an organised event slipped and fractured her ankle. She was treated on the fell and stretchered to the valley for onward transport to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.

High Pike A mother and daughter became disorientated in low cloud and were afraid of straying onto dangerous ground near to Dove Crag. The team made contact by mobile phone and whilst ascertaining their position the cloud lifted and passing walkers pointed the route off to Ambleside. They were met by members of the Langdale Ambleside Team and returned by the Patterdale team to their campsite.

Hallin Hag Wood Whilst the previous incident was in progress a male walker with ankle injury and diabetic was reported on the footpath between Howtown and Sandwick. The Penrith Mountain Rescue Team were requested to deal with this incident. Several Patterdale team members and a team doctor also responded.
