02 Rescue	13/01/01 13.00	Nethermost Pike	Report from police to attend person slipped at Nethermost Cove. The subject was walked off the fell to Whythburn
03 Rescue	13/01/01 14.48	Red Tarn area Hellvelyn	A 30 yr old male slipped sustaining a fractured ankle. The casualty was flown to Cumberland Infirmary by an RAF Helicopter which was in the area.
04 Rescue	14/01/01 13.50	St Sunday Crag Grisedale cold, some snow and ice	A female fellwalker aged 62 suffered a fractured ankle when she slipped on ice. She was treated on the fell and stretchered to the valley for onward transport to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
05 Rescue	28/01/01 12.10	Whiteside Hard snow	A member of a visiting Mountain Rescue Team fractured his ankle whilst training. He was treated by one of the Patterdale doctors and was airlifted by a helicopter which was training with the Keswick team.
06 Rescue	04/021/01 15.20	Brown Cove Helvellyn Range Hard snow strong wind Artic conditions at times.	A 45 year old male fell several hundred feet having slipped while climbing on snow out of the cove. He sustained lacerations and bruising but was otherwise OK. Stretchered out on steep snow.
07 Rescue	14/02/01 15.00	Catstycam Hard snow strong wind	2 males (19 and 26) were climbing a snow gulley. One lost his ice axe and was unable to move on very steep hard snow pack. The other was able to completed the climb as he had crampons on The team climbed down from the summit and roped the man up to the top. They were guided back to Glenridding.
08 Animal Rescue	16/02/01 1.40	Mires Beck Glenridding Fine day	A request was made from the police to evacuate a collie dog that had collapsed during a walk. The dog was carried off the hill by team members.
09 Rescue	17/02/01 12.45	Grey Rigg Hartsop Fine day	A 51 year old female slipped and sustained a fractured ankle. She was treated at the scene and transported to Penrith New Hospital by Team Ambulance.
10 Search	17/02/01 17.45	High Street	A woman was concerned for the safety of her husband, daughter and 2 dogs that were walking on High Street. As the search was being activated a mobile phone call was received to say the were off the fell safe and well.
11 Rescue	18/02/01 14.43	Fairfield	A male walker aged 49 slipped on ice and fractured his femur. Both The Langdale Ambleside Team and the Patterdale Team attended. The man was treated on the fell and airlifted by heicopter from RAF Leeming to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
12 Rescue	23/02/01 12.55	Stoney Cove Pike	A 39 year old man suffered tendon injuries. He was treated on the fell by a Patterdale Team doctor and taken to the Kirkstone Pass by stretcher and a helicopter which was in the area,.
13 Search	24/02/01 19.15	Grisedale	An organised party of 8 were reported overdue having set off to complete a grade 3 scramble somewhere in the Grisedale valley. The party turned up safe and well as the search was beginning.
14 Search	04/03/01 20.05	Ullswater Cold evening	Request from police to search for a 40 year old male. Car left at lakeside layby. The man was located by the police on the lakeside road.
15 Rescue	01/04/01 16.53	Patterdale	A 52yr old male sufferered a heart attack in the grounds of an Outdoor Centre. He was treated on the fell, stretchered to the road and transfered to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
16 Rescue	10/06/01 15.25	Patterdale	The Team were called to the Red Tarn area of Helvellyn when a 49yr old female fell aprox 300 ft sutaining multiple injuries. She was airlifted from the scene by a helicopter from RAF Leconfiels and taken with the team doctor to the cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
17 First Aid	10/06/01	Patterdale	A four year old girl was brought to the Rescue Centre by her parents. The child had a finger wound which would not stop bleeding. She was treated by the team doctor.
18 Rescue	16/06/01 13.10	Patterdale	The Team were called to a 58yr old male from Liverpool who had collapsed on the path toBoardale Hause. He was treated at the scene stretchered to the valley and taken by County Ambulance to Penrith New Hospital for further treatment.
19 Rescue	23/06/01 17.00	Patterdale	A team member sustained a fractured leg whilst exiting from a helicopter whilst on exercise.
20 Rescue	25/06/01 16.20	Helvellyn	A female on holiday from USA collapsed at the summit of Helvellyn. She was treated by the team and airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
21 Rescue	29/06/01 17.00	Ullswater	Request from police to attend a capsized boat with children in water.
22 Rescue	04/07/01 14.00	Helvellyn	A 51 year old male slipped and badly sprained his ankle on Striding edge, Helvellyn. He was treated at the scene and strtchered from the fell.
23 Search	04/07/01 20.30	Stone Barrow Gill Patterdale	Report of purple flare. Nothing found thought to be USA citizen celebrating 4th of July.
24 Rescue	15/07/01 17.00v	Kepple Cove	A 15 year old girl collapsed with exhaustion whilst fell walking with a led group.
25 Rescue	17/07/01 19.05	Helvellyn	Two inexperienced walkers strayed from the Striding edge path and became cragfast on the headwall of Helvellyn. The team climbed into them and lowered them off the crag and then escorted them to the valley. They were cold but unhurt.
26 Rescue	01/08/01 13.25	Sandwick Bay Howtown	A 10 year old boy sustained a lacerated leg. request for assistance from County Ambulance service.
27 Animal Rescue	08/08/01 14.10	Martindale	Request from local farmer to evacuate a goat that was trapped on a cliff. 'Snowflake' was roped and hoisted to the top.
28 Rescue	08/08/01 16.09	Capel Crags Place fell	An inexperienced party of one adult, one teenager and two children strayed from the path and became cragfast. they were roped down and escorted to Patterdale.
29 Rescue	10/08/01 14.00	Striding Edge Helvellyn	A 61 year old female slipped from Striding Edge and fell about 70 metres. She sustained head and facial injuries and other abrasions. Airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary carlisle.
30 Rescue	23/06/01 17.00	Aira force	An eight year old girl walking with a family party slipped from the path and fell 10 meteres to the river bed. She was treated for a dislocated arm and transported by County Ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
31 Search	12/08/01 11.50	Eamont Bridge	Request by police to provide a boat for search of river for report of 3 persons in water. I person recovered by fire and ambulance with spinal injuries. Female jumped from bridge into shallow water.Team searched the river with no trace of further people. Later found that only one person was missing.
32 Search	13/08/01 22.22	High Street area	Fatal. Request by Penrith team to search the Patterdale area for a lone walker, a male aged 52. Body located at summit of High Street and recovered to Patterdale.Teams involved were Penrith, Patterdale, Kendal, Langdale Ambleside and the Search and Rescue Dog Association.
33 Search	19.08.01 21.45	Grisedale	Search for man overdue on walk in the Helvellyn area. Car found at Grisedale. Man and companion located shortly after the team assembled. Both were safe and well having taken a longer time to return due to the very misty conditions on the hill.
34 Search	25.08.01 16.10	Patterdale	A male left his party of one adult and two children at the start of Striding Edge to continue the circuit of Helvellyn summit and Swirral Edge. Arrangements were to meet later and descend together. The man missed the Swirral Edge descent and had to return by which time the rest of the party had descended via Greenside. The man returned to Patterdale and raised the alarm. The rest of his party were located by the team at Glenridding cold and wet.
35 Rescue	27.08.01 14.00	St Sunday Crag	A man fell on footpath from St Sunday Crag sustaining abrasions to head arm and knee. Walked off the hill and treated at Rescue Centre
36 Animal Rescue	27.08.01 15.15	Mires Beck Glenridding	Request from National Park Information Centre to free a trapped owl who had become entangled in a barbed wire fence. Owl taken to local vet.
37 Rescue	27.08.01 18.15	High Force above Aira Force	A 48 year od female slipped on boulders in the beck and sustained a fractured Right Ankle.
38 Search	29.08.01 16.10	Angle Tarn Beck Hartsop	Flashing L ights reported by two persons in Angle Tarn Beck by waterfall. Investigated but nothing found.
39 Search	01.09.01 14.32	Kailpot Crag Ullswater	A 50 yr old male reported that he had badley sparined his ankle. the Rescue boat was launched and he was brought back to Glenridding with his wife and children. Refered to Penrith New Hospital.
40 Rescue	14.09.01 14.25	The Knott Hartsop	A 62 year old male twisted his ankle ina 'pot hole' and sustained a fracture. the man was treated and stretchered to Hayeswater for onward transport by Landrover Ambulance to Patterdale Rescue Centre. Detained in Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
41 Rescue	23.09.01 15.22	Stridding Edge Helvellyn	A man and his wife started to walk Striding Edge. Wife left at Hole in Wall while husband continued along the edge. Became lost in mist and slipped on rough ground. Both parties located and escorted by different routes off the fell.
42 Rescue	23.09.01 17.27	Swirral edge Helvellyn	Family of four became disorientated in mist while descending from Swirral Edge. Located and guided fron the fell.
43 Rescue	1910.01 16.15	Ullswater	A 60yr od male with past heart history suffered an alergic attack and collapsed on the lake path.He was met by the team and medical assistance was given. The man returned to his holiday addtress with his friends and family.
44 Rescue	20.10.01 13.38	St Sunday Crag	A man and his dog became cragfast in Chock Gulley St Sunday Crag. As the team was assembling he managed to extricate himself with his dog. He phoned to say that he was safe on the top ridge.
45 Rescue	28.10.01 13.15	Kepple Cove zig zags	A 23 year old man fell from his mountain bike whilst descending from Whiteside on the Kepple Cove zig zags. He sustained a fractured collar bone, he was treated and then stretchered from the fell and taken to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
46 AnimalRescue	28.10.01 13.43	Greenside	A RSPCA officer requested that we free a trapped sheep in the Greenside Mine area. Thie animal was freed and let loose on the fellside.
47 Rescue	04.11.01 17.16	Aira Force	A 32 year old female from Luton slipped on the path and sustained a fracture dislocated ankle. She was treated on the fell and sretchered to the car park for onward transport to the Cumberland Infirmary by County Ambulance.
48 Search	18.11.01 13.43	Oxford Crag Patterdale	A stationary light was seen over a period of time on the fell side. Search revealed two hotel workers camping the light was from a camp fire.
49 Rescue	02.12.01 13.42	Red Screes Kirkstone	A male fell on Red Screes sustaining multiple injuries. He was airlifted to hospita by an RAF Seaking helicopter.
50 Search	13.12.01 08.20	Dove Crag Patterdale	Flashing lights were reported on Dove Crag. Found to be an outdoor centre group who had stayed overnight in Preists Hole.
