Patterdale Mountain Rescue

The Rescue Centre - Ogilvie House

The Team’s base in Patterdale, Ogilvie House, was opened by Mrs Joan Ogilvie, in 1999 and is named after her late husband the Team’s founder, James Ogilvie MD. It provides everything that an active MRT needs – from equipment storage and vehicle parking to the operations room, casualty care facilities and family accommodation.

You can take your own virtual tour of Ogilvie House using the wonders of 360° photography or look out for details of our occasional Open Days when you can see the Base for yourself.
